Kiara Pott’s Impact Story

What does impact mean to you?

To me, impact means being aware of how my actions impact the world. I strive to set a good example and leave a positive mark wherever I go, ensuring that my legacy shines brightly.

Can you tell us what your current role is?

I am currently a Bioprocess Engineer at a well-known Biotech Pharmaceutical Company, where my work enables me to improve the lives of newborns who are born with rare diseases.

Thinking about impact, can you describe 2-3 projects or initiatives you were involved in that mark a major achievement for you in your role?

I was able to lead and execute a cost-saving project for a former employer (a physician), allowing him to spend more time with his family and pursue his love for golf. To this day, I maintain a strong friendship with him and his family.

By tapping into my creative side, I assisted in establishing an online presence for a social media influencer and contributed to her overall branding.

How has your membership in WIB helped you in your professional growth? I’ve been able to make new connections, gain experience in important areas like social media marketing, project management, and event planning, and overall I’m feeling grateful for the opportunity

How do you plan to further your impact in the future? Moving forward, I aspire to maintain my career in biotech while serving as a positive role model for my colleagues and motivating young women to pursue their STEM ambitions!
