Bulbul Pandit’s Impact Story

“Impact means to make a change in the right direction. To help someone improve or to grow.”

WIB members are making strides in their roles, their communities, and industries. We asked Bulbul to share her impact with us, and here is what she told us:

What does impact mean to you?

Impact means to make a change in the right direction. To help someone improve or to grow!

Can you tell us what your current role is?

I am the Co-Vice Chair of Young Women In Bio (YWIB) Chicago.

Thinking about impact, can you describe 2–3 projects or initiatives you were involved in that mark a major achievement for you in your role?

I led the effort to secure a sponsorship from Stoelting Group Chicago. They are an ally-level sponsor for WIB-Chicago.

I coordinated the organization of the No Breath No Justice event in collaboration with STEM From Dance. It is scheduled for April 22, 2023.

How has your membership in WIB helped you in your professional growth?

I am more willing to say yes to new opportunities, and I am more willing to speak up.

How do you plan to further your impact in the future?

I look forward to working as a YWIB volunteer in the coming years and hope to mentor future ambassadors and see them become STEM professionals!
