Andrea Wagner’s Impact Story

What does impact mean to you?

STEM and particularly – biotech is amazing. I have enjoyed working in this field and everyday there are new discoveries and I get to be one of the first to learn about them.

Can you tell us what your current role is?

Co-Founder and CTO of a fill/finish company – Berkshire Sterile Manufacturing

Thinking about impact, can you describe 2-3 projects or initiatives you were involved in that mark a major achievement for you in your role?

Initially building a CMO from the ground up! This means not only the infrastructure but the human and the client base. It is stressful but exhilarating.

How has your membership in WIB helped you in your professional growth?

I have met so many women that embrace the concept of increased leadership in STEM by women. It has been extremely valuable.

How do you plan to further your impact in the future?

I am going to create an investment fund to help women in STEM leaders and owners elevate their businesses and help them to realize a higher sale price or dividend price eventually. I am also writing a book on Women NERDS, elevating them to higher leadership potentials
I am writing a book on igniting women in STEM to higher leadership positions. As we are aware women CEO’s and C-Level execs in STEM are only represented at a level of 3-4%. We need to work together (men and women) to change this – think where we could be with equality at the top!!! Please consider taking my survey on your thoughts (2 minutes and anonymous). Thank you for your time and interest in this vital topic!
